PLANNNG APPEALS

If an application is refused, the applicant has the opportunity to appeal the Local Planning Authority’s decision.

Local Planning Officers make decisions based on what is put in front of them at the time of the application.

They also have to work in accordance with local policy, so their decision is made based upon the information supplied to them and their interpretation of local and national planing policy.

The planning inspectorate is a national governing body that reviews the application submission and subsequent decision. A planning inspector will review all information associated to the application openly, fairly and independently.

They will then issue a decision to either approve or refuse the proposal, as well as deciding who is responsible for associated costs.

If an appeal is regarded as the most appropriate course of action, we will assist and support you throughout the entire process.
