There is often something of a stigma attached to the word ‘planning’.
Several homeowners have applied for permission individually, and there are untold stories of policy issues, neighbourly disputes, design problems and much more.
From initial application right through to – hopefully – approval, the process can be longwinded and frustrating, and this is only exacerbated if an application is rejected.
There are plenty of potential issues and hurdles that ordinary homeowners may not know how to deal with.
That’s where we come in.
At English Architectural, we can help you to maximise your chances of achieving planning permission.
Initially, we will find out what exactly it is that you wish to achieve, and assess the likelihood of doing so on your site. In order to do that we take into account things such as area, design type, size and scale, as well as establishing if existing buildings is Listed or under any other restrictions.
If we think your project has a good chance of being approved, we will use our expertise to put together your application, including all drawings and documentation. After fine-tuning and discussing the application with the homeowner, we will submit it to the local council.
But that’s just the beginning…
We will monitor the application, including responses from any consultees including Highways, Ecology, or neighbours.
Some applications will gather negative responses from locals, even though those complaining often have absolutely nothing to do with the proposal itself.
As part of the service we will respond to issues if applicable, as and when they may arise.
Planning by its very nature is never guaranteed, but we make use of our 30+ years’ experience in the industry to maximise your chances of a successful application.
